How To | Simple Curly Bun

Curly hair bun

If you're anything like me, your go-to hair style will be quick and simple to save time and get out the door as fast as possible in the mornings! I have naturally curly hair and like to keep it tied up throughout the day. Don't get me wrong, I like to wear my hair down, but it can often get in the way, especially at work. Here is a simple up-do option (the curly bun!) that you might like to try. It will work with straight hair too, so let me know if you give it a go!

You will need:
1. A hairband of your choice (I prefer a thin and discrete hairband. I usually wear black or brown to blend in with my hair colour)
2. Hair grips

Step 1
Grab hold of a hairband and have it ready in your hand to use. Flip your head upside down and gather your hair in one hand

Step 2
Pull your hair through the hairband once, as if you were about to make a ponytail

Step 3
Twist the hairband and start to pull your ponytail through for the second time in the opposite direction, but not all the way. Make sure you stop before the ends of your hair make it through the hairband. Now you have a sort-of bun!

Step 4
Reposition the bun to your liking and place the hair grips in to secure the bun or tuck away any loose bits of hair you want to hide. I personally like curls hanging out of my bun to give it a more messy look, but it's totally up to you!

Step 5 (optional)
Spritz with a little hair spray to hold bun in position throughout the day

And there you have it - a simple curly bun! I hope this tutorial was quick and easy to follow!

Will you give this hairstyle a try?
