Favourites | Spring Makeup Collection

Spring makeup

Each new season brings another shake up to my makeup collection! To be fair, any excuse to do some makeup shopping, eh? As the winter months start to clear up and the sun comes out, I like to change my makeup and the colours I'm wearing to compliment my change of outfits and the weather in general. So here are some of my current spring time favourites, which I have been using on almost a daily basis.

For my base, I have really been enjoying using a light and airy powder foundation by Laura Geller called Baked Balance 'N' Brighten Colour Correcting Foundation, in the shade 'Medium'. This is a completely weightless foundation and it has a blurring effect, ensuring any imperfections are covered. It is a light to medium coverage, just what I look for in a foundation for the spring time. There are a mixture of colours in the foundation, so I use a large powder brush to dust the product over my face, which makes it super fast to apply! Bonus! This product is my only high end choice for spring, costing £21 for 9g of product. I purchased mine here

Next, is a blush palette that I adore! The Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette by Nyx, an American brand which is now sold in Boots stores! Yippee! This palette has a great range of blush shades which are perfect for spring and summer. From vibrant pinks to bright oranges, as well as some more toned down shades and some shimmers which can be used to highlight. I have been using this palette daily and it goes well with a variety of makeup looks! Don't be fooled into thinking there won't be much colour pay off, because there will be! You really don't need much on your brush to get a good flush of colour across your cheeks. This drugstore palette costs £17 and you get 8 different shades! I got my palette here.

Another blush which I have been loving lately is the Baked Powder Blush by Milani Cosmetics. I have been wanting to get my hands on this for absolutely ages so when it finally landed on the Beauty Bay website for just £10, I was pretty happy! The packaging definitely caught my eye as I have a current obsession with gold right now! This blush is mega pigmented and comes in eleven different gorgeous shades. My shade is 'Luminoso' and is a peachy pink colour with a subtle hint of shimmer, which I love for the spring and summer time. I am very tempted to add a few more of these blushes to my collection! I picked mine up here.

We all want that sunkissed glow throughout the spring/summer time and this has been my go-to bronzer for the past couple of weeks. It's the Natural Bronzer by Rimmel London and is in the shade 'Sun Glow'. This is definitely an oldie when it comes to bronzers, but it's a good one! It is quite a warm tone and does have some shimmer to it, so if that's not your thing, then it might be best to avoid. However, as I have said before, I am partial to a bit of glitter! This bronzer comes in quite a big compact and has lasted me a good few months so far. You get 14g of product for £5.99 and I picked up mine here.

My final spring favourite is the Colour Boost Lip Crayon by Bourjois. I have been using a similar product by Clinque, but wanted something a bit less pricey, so I was happy to find this for just £7.99. This lip crayon gives a sheer, glossy finish and is great to add just a touch of colour to your lips. Perfect for the daytime, my shade is 'Proudly Naked' and is a lovely pinky nude colour. There are a variety of bright, pretty colours and you get a lot of product for the price - it seems to be lasting me for ages! I got mine here.
I am sure I will be switching up my makeup products again soon, but for now, these are my go-to items for spring!
What are your current spring time favourites?
