Simple Homemade Christmas Gifts

Yes. It's true! Less than three weeks until Christmas and I cannot wait! Even though I am a huge fan of Christmas, I always have issues trying to think of what I want to buy for family and friends as I usually resort to the same types of presents; knitwear, makeup, fragrances. So last year, I decided to do something a little more meaningful and make some of the presents myself.

ColourPop Creme Gel Liners

Review of Colourpop Creme Gel Liners

When I found out I could get my hands on Colourpop Creme Gel Liners at House of Beauty, I obviously couldn't resist and bought not just one, but six shades to try out! (I got slightly carried away by all the pretty colours...)

First Impressions of Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Eye Palette

It's here! I'm actually holding the new Charlotte Tilbury's Instant Eye Palette in my very own hands! I was lucky enough to purchase this in the pre-sale at the beginning of this week, but the official launch will be at the beginning of October. I grabbed mine from UK stockist, Cult Beauty, which states they will be on sale on the 12th October. So before that date, I thought I'd give you my first impressions on this palette and hopefully help you decide if you want to get your hands on it too!

How I Gained 100 Instagram Followers in a Week

How to gain followers on Instragram

I've been working hard on growing my Instagram following lately. Back in April I decided that I was going to post a photo every day and have managed to do so. But I won't lie, some days it has been a struggle! Even so, I have managed to build up my following from just over a hundred followers to currently 618 followers, and have gained 100 of those followers in the previous week. So, here are my top tips to help you focus on your Instagram following too.

The Perfect Travel Companion

I can never decide what I need to bring with me when I go travelling. You're meant to bring just the 'essentials', and I understand that, believe me I do. But, when it comes to makeup, I have quite a few 'essentials' in my bag. As I have been travelling a lot lately, I needed to find a quick way of reducing the size of my makeup bag and ended up buying the perfect makeup palette to go travelling with.

How To | Marble Nail Art

marble nail art

I'm very much into marble anything right now (well, aren't we all?!), so I have been loving the marble nail trend and decided to give it a go! I only did an accent nail, but if you wanted to try it on all 10 fingers, I'm sure it would look fab! I used gel polish on my nails, but this would also work with normal polish.

Top Tips | Wearing Makeup With Glasses

It wasn't until last month that I had to start wearing glasses. I applied my makeup as usual, popped on my glasses and off to work I went. Looking into the mirror at the end of the day, I realised
that the majority of my foundation on my nose had decided to slide downwards, leaving two lovely marks where my glasses had been perched all day (they weren't lovely marks...). I already have a very oily t-zone area, so trying to stop my foundation from sliding around, as well as making sure my glasses don't smudge anything, has been an experiment to say the least! After a few trials and errors, here are my top tips for making sure your makeup stays put and you're still looking your best when wearing glasses!

Favourites | Spring Makeup Collection

Spring makeup

Each new season brings another shake up to my makeup collection! To be fair, any excuse to do some makeup shopping, eh? As the winter months start to clear up and the sun comes out, I like to change my makeup and the colours I'm wearing to compliment my change of outfits and the weather in general. So here are some of my current spring time favourites, which I have been using on almost a daily basis.

How To | Simple Curly Bun

Curly hair bun

If you're anything like me, your go-to hair style will be quick and simple to save time and get out the door as fast as possible in the mornings! I have naturally curly hair and like to keep it tied up throughout the day. Don't get me wrong, I like to wear my hair down, but it can often get in the way, especially at work. Here is a simple up-do option (the curly bun!) that you might like to try. It will work with straight hair too, so let me know if you give it a go!

A Love For Nail Art

Nail art

So, let's talk nails! I have a huge passion for nail art and nails in general and really enjoy watching Youtube tutorials to teach myself some tips and tricks. Some of my favourite Youtubers include Nail Career Education and Naio Nails as they are so creative and skilled in their field! Even if you don't think you'd have a go yourself, I find it really calming to just sit back with a cuppa and watch the creativity happen. I have always loved painting my nails and actually don't like the feeling of bare nails anymore... weird, I know.

I am mega excited for next month as I am doing a nail tech course and will soon be qualified to make other people's nails beautiful! So who knows where it may lead... The photo above is from when I experiemented with nail foils and is one my favourite techniques. Take a look at my Nailstagram for more.

If you're a nail tech, leave me a comment! I would love to get in touch with other nail enthusiasts!

A Quick Hello

Well, I made it! I am finally a part of the blogging world. It has only taken me about a year to come up with my own blog name! (I'm joking, of course, it has only taken me around five months... can you tell I'm indecisive?!) I am still getting to grips with all the customization gadgets and options, but hopefully will get my blog up and running in no time. I am mega excited to be starting one and can't wait to share my thoughts with the world! This was just a quick blog to say hi, so now I'm off to figure out some technical bits and bobs, after sweating it out over linking my domain name with my blog...

Bye for now!
